He is currently an Assistant Professor at McMaster University for the Department of Medicine, Division of Respirology. He has lead multiple cough studies in the Cardio-Respiratory Lab at McMaster University. He completed his medical degree at the University of Cambridge, UK and specialized in general internal medicine and respirology. He has 15 years of clinical experience and also completed a PhD at the University of Manchester between 2013-2016. He was awarded the prestigious British Medical Association James Trust Award for cough research and the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Marie-Curie Global Fellowship Award. He was a co-author on the most recent ERS Chronic Cough guidelines and is a scientific advisor for pharmaceutical companies developing new cough therapies. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries.
